    Post Rocker arm clearance??

So the baja motor 454 now 496 gen IV is at machine shop now for complete rebuild. Are there any roller rockers that will fit under the stock valve covers? I will be running a custom cam with .560 lift. If not can I go with taller valve covers and still clear my stock manifolds and risers until the wife let's me spend more money on an exhaust?

Not if you had the stock stamped steel valve covers

Yes I have the factory stamped steel covers. Will a taller valve cover fit with stock exhaust?

I can't confirm that cause I've always had cmi headers on stuff with roller rockers

Measure the height of the valve covers you have. I have Crane Gold rockers, I'll measure the height of mine.

You have higher ones for roller rockers Stan. Stock 454 stamped steel are low. I think they'd hit but I'm guessing the covers you have will clear his manifolds.

My stock genVI didn't have enough clearance
I went with 1/2 spacers and in the end should have just paid the money for a used set of merc racing valve covers

I have stainless marine manifolds and have clearance

    Sure does look nice though!
Table Rock Lake is my home away from home, and big block power rules.

    Re: Rocker arm clearance??

I ended up buying a set of Eddie marine valve covers got them on Monday they fit great and have lots of clearance for the rockers if anyone is running stock exhaust I highly recommend the eddie marine covers, will take some pictures when I get the engine back from machine shop.
