Jeeez watching the coverage now. Wishing everybody the luck they're going to need. I live in a coastal hurricane area and understand the pain these people are feeling now. :(

I was at work this morning and my Wife was telling me this morning that she was surprised I didn't know anyone from Houston. Later I was like damn I forgot about Keith "firehill" so I text him.... I forgot he moved to Florida. Anyway these are never good. After dealing with Charlie, Francis and Jeannie in 2004 I hate it for those folks and we didn't get the rain Houston is getting
Because without beer things just dont seem to go as well

It's beyond crazy down there, in places...Mother Nature can put such a whoop-ass on ya...
Table Rock Lake is my home away from home, and big block power rules.

Yes, thanks for thinking of me Will and thanks for the text. All my family back in Texas and the Houston area are safe. So sad looking at the devastation. Funny you mention those 3 hurricanes from 2004, as we had flown to Ft. Lauderdale for a 7 day cruise which turned into 9 days. Also, forgot to mention to you where I am in Florida, but grown zero of Charlie, Frances, and Jeanne, living on South Hutchinson Island in Ft. Pierce. Already played the evacuation game last October for Matthew. Got lucky and it made a jog north at the last minute.

Hi all,
It was surreal watching everything on TV with helicopters flying overhead rescuing people a couple of miles away, and we were just fine. Im in Richmond on the far west side of Houston, in a newer subdivision designed for flood control. Worst hardship in my house was running out of limes for the margaritas.
Got the 302 out yesterday, took it up to Lake Conroe to try out the new GPS speedo. Saw a number of waterfront homes that got water in them when the lake rose above flood stage. Lakeview Marina had a lot of dock damage but was open.
Had lunch at Fajita Jacks and saw a real nice 33 Outlaw parked out front. Wonder if it was anyone on the Forum?
Great to hear you were high and dry! It was crazy seeing all the reports from the Houston area and Conroe when the lake went up. We used to live in Walden until a year ago June then took the plunge and moved to Florida. I had a 302 until 2014 when I sold it. It’s still on Conroe. Our usual hangout was Papas but visited Sams Boat and Wolfies too.
