this is the bent rod as you can see how far it goes above deck.after running motor i was surprised that it did not get a valve.when it was started they said did not run good, does not look like that cylinder was firing at all.

She is who I go through as well. Never had an issue but then again, Ive never had a claim I could claim. she is honest and up front and will answer all your questions. I gave her some scenarios and she said yes or no. She has a great reputation in the boating world and that says a lot.
Because without beer things just dont seem to go as well

Ditto.. I have her as well. The first qoute, the insurance company claimed I was coastal, so I sent her a map of where I live and the reduced my rate because I was far enough inland. I think i pay around $800 a year with cash value of around $45k.. but I may have to up that a lil with all the work I have done now! Lol

i think your boat is not replaceable any more, i agree and would have it appraised.you have done a great job and thank you for that info.starting to get over what i seen and had to go threw and hoping to get my boat fixed and just be smarter on getting it insured.i also have never turned in a claim before.i think the last one was my 19 foot jet boat that got hit on chain of lakes on Illinois and Wisconsin line ,not my fault.that was 20 years ago.

Re: American family and boat insurance

talked to Stacy for a while this morning about insuring my boats and to get some advice on the problem i am having with my insurance company, she said i will have to ride this out until it is settled and boat is 100%fixed.also told it might be a problem getting me insured because of a recent claim like i have now, another words it will go against me. on the other hand she said what they are doing to try to find some way to deny the claim is wrong and will not stand ,they have to pay this claim. well ,for the last week i have called and american family has gone silent after motor checked out to be in good condition and has never been over heated.i was hoping we could get this settled now but still seems they want to do it the hard way.the did deduct my account today on auto pay for my policy.???

other option was fusing L5 to S1 and lost a lot of movement with a 8 to 12 mounth recovery time . that would mean no work and no$ when my insurance company denys claim and i have to pay the bill.also did not pass all the medical test to go threw that kind of surgery. i felt is was my only option to have another season on the lake.

Re: American family and boat insurance

    UPDATE

insurance company is finally calling me without me having to make calls to my agent ,asking me to be pay-shunt,???.the survey and inspection went in my favor and they are scrabbling to come up with a number i will except to repair my boat.my concern is time ,so the only way i see to have it ready for this summer is to ship all the new audio systems to hawkeye /amps/subs/speakers/new gps system and they have set me up with there interior shop that will be making the new top ,simalier to my sunsport.so this will be done threw video chat on color and style. i guess you would have to say i am buying time.we are slammed at work so it just makes sense.color choice for the top seems more difficult then i thought, has to go white or purple ???.i think the agreed value i set up was my saving grace and it did hold up ,it kept the insurance company from coming up with a stupid number and calling it a total and imo,its not even close to being a total.

What color was the top before?
I’m a purple fan but it will be hotter than the white
I know you’ve got pics of the boat posted on here but post some on this thread and we all give you our different opinion to help confuse the process even more for you

Good news on the insurance front, sounds like you’re going to be one of the few that win a battle against them!
