    Bravo 1 26p on a 502 MPI 25 outlaw?

I have a 99 25 outlaw with a stock 502mpi that unfortunately damaged the stock prop when I struck some rocks at the end of the season last year. I was thinking about getting a 24p, but I have found several deals on used 26P Bravo 1's. Will the 26P be to much pitch for my boat/power combo?
    Thanks

You haven’t mentioned what prop was on there when damaged, or what your running numbers are to help determine proper pitch. However, a 25OL with a standard issue 502mpi, I would think the 26” B1 is too much... You should be in the 23”-24” range.

If it is a stock boat, then I think it should come with a 3 blade, 23 Mirage Plus, which is the same as my 272 which has a 502 in it. If anything, I would just get the stock labbed, from b-blades.

26p is too much wheel on a stock 502 with a deep x dimension.

I tend to agree the 26B1 won’t be the best choice. You can probably pull it but not to max rpm. The 272 and 25 are kissin cousins for the hull, a labbed 23M+ is the best choice for a stock 502 272. I just got a labbed 25M+ (haven’t run it yet) but even after building the engine the 23 did good
If I remember correctly Brett has said the 26B1 and 25M1 are the same diameter and the single engine Baja’s like 3 blade props for top speed

Yea, my boat currently has a Mirage 23p. The reason I was considering the 24p was for better cruising speed mainly
    Thank You Guys

You’ll probably like a B1 prop for cruising
When I tried a 26B1 cruising anywhere between 38-45 mph the flow meter was showing 2.8 mpg vs labbed 23M+ at 2.4 mpg

    Re: Bravo 1 26p on a 502 MPI 25 outlaw?

No labbed. Rev 4 is a good prop on our boats! Has a lot of rake and carries bow well. Labbed B1 is supposed to be better and able to be labbed better than rev. Per b blades.

I liked the rev 4, but only found a 21p to try on my 25ol and tapped the rev limit hard! I wish I could have tried a 23p. But ended up with an adjusted b1 at 23p and worked great. M+ will be faster but the B1 (4blade) will work well. Better at getting out of water, also didnt lose as much speed when loaded cruising around.

So, it really depends on your boating. Always light, run a 3 blade. Loaded or running heavy, 4 blade will get out of water better and cruise better.
