Anyone have any thoughts on why a 496 mag ho would just shut off while cruising? Taking a late season cruise at about 3200rpm and the engine shut off like I turned the key off and I got one beep from the alarm. I pulled the throttle back and put it in neutral. Turned the key back on and all the gauges cycled. Cranked the engine and it's started right up then shut right off. I tried it again and it did the same thing. I unplugged the lanyard and plugged it back in and it started and ran fine. I don't think had anything to do with the kill switch lanyard though because with the lanyard off the engine should crank but not start.
