    Re: K plains

the 280s are mine, had to send him a deposit because both of are schedules are filled until the weekend after thanks giving got a video of them ,they are black powder coated and have the pumps but are missing hydraulic lines and do not come with controls or indicators so will have to start looking for them but he made the price very fair.so one more step to having the 272 done and safer..thanks for the advice.so now if any one has advice on the switches and indicators that would be great.i assume these are something that should be professionally installed, drilling into the transum would make me a little nervous and were they should be mounted also so i will need to get the boat out of storage early next season while the boat shops are still slow weather permitting.

yes ,those look really nice.just got off the phone with hawkeys, they are going install them and give the motor a ounce over while it is there and if i can get it to them by march, they are giving me a price i can not pass on.like i said earlier this year ,i am not going to be able to start taking it out till maybe july if i can not push my health so much but i am excited to get these and can not wait to see how much difference it will be.the great thing about hawkeyes is todd will take me out in it and teach me how to work them, thanks again to everyone on this site ,you guys are the best.

Hopefully with this terrible weather we have been having it won't be 20 below with a foot of snow next year when you want to get to Hawkeye early..

yep ,that would be the thing that would derail this plan,on another note ,this week end is going to be in the 50s and i am close to having the back yard project, trees, drainage pipes ,fence done and should be able to finish it with the exception of bringing in a dump truck of gravel and another of black dirt so the pool and hot tub can go in early spring if we get a spring.

They look good. I paid the same 900 for mine, with the pumps and lines, no indicators and I rewired the existing insta-trim switches for the k planes. The insta trim switches both controlled one pump, I separated the switches to each work an individual pump. I ran 6 gauge power and ground to the pumps and solenoid trigger wires to the switches. Here's some old pics. I still run with no indicators, I've been running by feel...
