Baja 272 geometry - for trailer

Hi all! New 1996 272 owner, can't wait to pick her up. I've been shopping for trailers, and I need to know the hull length (not including the swim platform), and a straight line measurement from the bow tie down ring to the back of the boat (again - actual hull length, swim platform doesn't matter).

Would anyone have this info, or be kind enough to take these two measurements for me? The boat is 2 hours out of town, so it's a pain to go measure it.

    Thanks all!

    Jason

My 272 is a 2000 model but measurements should be the same Hull length 25 ft, Transom to bow hook 21 ft 10 inches, mine is on a 2000 model Heritage trailer model # KB26T2D-60 hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. So, the 21'10" is measured from the (for argument's sake) end of the transom in a straight line (parallel to the ground) to the tie down ring?

I'm amazed, that for a 25' hull, that the ring is effectively about 3' 2" back!

Also, since I'm here, does anyone know where factory documentation can be downloaded for these boats - owner's manual, etc.?

    Really appreciate the info guys.

I 'm really not interested in arguing about the measurements. I was only trying to help you, I have double checked my figures, and stick with them maybe not exactly but near as I can tell with a measuring tape, When you do get your 272 home please let me know how wrong I am.

I don't think he's trying to argue Charlie, just restating your facts.

The bow eye i'snt 3 feet back. Between the swim deck and the bow over hang ( past the eye), that maybe the "three foot" difference. I'll be out in the shop with mine here in an hour or so. I'll get another measurement posted to back Charlie's up.

BTW thanks again Irish for the PDF.

Wasn't arguing at all! Was just surprised given the boat's 27' length, that's all, and I appreciate the info! "For arguments sake" doesn't mean I was arguing! Lol

    Thanks again.

Ok, Charlie's numbers are dead nuts! Including the 3'2" bow to the hook(my bad) The Dorsey trailer mines on is 22' from the bow stop to the end of the bunks. 21'10" to the transom.

No problem on the PDF....The 272 is the sister to the 25OL just a "Performance Series" instead of the "Outlaw Series" same as the 302 is the sister to the 29OL. The 2' is the swim platform thats molded into the back...Running surface is 25' on both boats.
