would be fun to see what a pair of the 860's would do in this hull!

The PR 40 Outlaw named Spotlight had staggered 850sci's and either 6's or NXT's. It ran just under 90mph. The 40OL is a beautiful boat, I feel the boat needed a notched transom to be a fast hull, one of the reasons the 35OL is a fast flat bottom boat, handful of them are triple digit boats

I think they took technology from a 33OL that was "available" but never made it to production to make the 35 = Notch and pad

Any of you guys remember Crayola Crazy. He was a nice guy, a little eccentric and lived up in Pittsburg. He had a sick 100MPH+ 33OL with a pad, notch and bigger strakes he had made custom from the factory. I always wanted to build a 33OL with a pad, notch and big strakes and cut it down to a sit down poker run boat. That would be cool.

    Damn I love boats.

Not that a notch would put a 40OL into the triple digits, but it could've flirted with it. It would've needed a notch and steps to get it done with 850's... The flat bottom would've needed big big power to get it done. I think the final number on Spotlight was 87mph, I heard it was a little disappointing being staggered. Beautiful boat but never heard what happened to it after it was dropped...

Cool pic of the Split Decisions PR 40 Outlaw

interesting, thought it would be more than that... crazy how the hull design slows these things(baja) down so much, look at black thunders and the speeds they get for being pigs!

Apache's, flat bottoms and a bit heavier, are no faster either... Black Thunders have steps. When Checkmate rolled the 43 Punisher out the door prior to Hustler's acquisition of the brand, it ran 92 with steps and big power. The current owner has work done to the steps, hull and props and was at 99 last I heard. On a positive note, the HammerDown 35OL ran 117 at the LOTO shootout.
