Seems like that issue Fleg had when he had the remote oil filter lines backwards.
Lines werent backwards Keith! The bypass was the 11lb valve rather than the 30lb valve.. The second time I took the bypasses out and plugged the outer hole!!!

I think Irish's problem was definitely a result of a oil issue, which definitely started at the oil adapter location!!!!

    Re: So it begins

Damn after Nalit brought up the engine thread yesterday got me digging for this thread. Amazing it's almost been 2 years since I bought this boat and what a project it's been. Glad I have the friends I have and I know I'd drop anything I was doing to help any of them.

Irish...I think it is also a testament to your resolve and commitment to not only get your boat "running", but to do it in such a manner where high quality and high expectations for the outcome were achieved.

    Re: So it begins

Never read this thread till yesterday, slowed down at work so started reading it,could not stop till now.first thing is the respect for all that was involved in this project. second thought is i would be scared to ever buy another boat. feeling bad about my situation ,but cant imagine how that felt after all that work. i was also worried about changing the name on my 272.should have listened and left it.any one buying a boat should read and watch this first.also worried about the cracks in mine, will we open a can of worms.thanks for posting this thread.
