What carb is on the motor. 19p might be a little small for a fresh 454 with a cam. Is it a mag motor, or the 330hp?

Iíve got the qudra jet. As for motor, kinda both? Itís a Mag but itís an Alpha 1 Mag so 330 hp. Probably a good thing itís only the 330 with the Alpha.

Regardless...you'll definitely be able to spin that 19p with authority! I run either a 21p or 23p on mine, with the 330 hp engine.
Table Rock Lake is my home away from home, and big block power rules.

My drive ratio is 1.32:1. What pitch should I be looking for?

Ah, that makes a big difference. Sorry pal, I assumed 1:5, 19 is more like it

Re: Soon to be Baja owner.

Motor is all adjusted! I still need to complete break in on the motor but I did get it out on the lake with my mechanic a few weeks ago. We had a shift cable issue but he was able to adjust it once we got it back on the trailer before we pulled out of the water. I tried to take it out and put some break in hours on her last weekend... got her all the way to the lake, backed her down the ramp, and she fired right up! However when I went to lower the drive unit, nothing. Turns out the batteries werenít secured and slid forward causing the power wire to the trim pump to break right at the ring terminal. I didnít have any ring terminals on me so back home we went. Right now she is out for upholstery so Iíll have to wait a little while longer. Overall Iím just happy she runs!

oh and I did go ahead and give her a new name... meet Problem Child.

Dude, pick-up some battery trays and secure those batteries. The last this u want is an exposed spark in the bilge. Coast guard out here wants battery terminals covered with caps. My 05 came with rubber caps... Be safe
