Weight of 302 with fuel/gear on trailer????

Baja says this is 6800#'s dry weight, but it's with small blocks and no fuel or gear. I'm guessing 10500-11000 on trailer full of fuel. I'm weighing mine on a scale to find out.

That's what my 29 weighed in at. Entire rig grossed 20k or 22k.

With 1/4 tank on the boat, full tank in the truck, 3 days worth of cloths for 2 folks and some beer my truck and boat and trailer were right at 21K. With New trailer about 20,200
Because without beer things just dont seem to go as well

Irish, did you ever weigh your rig? I'm looking for a tow vehicle and am trying to calculate my likely weight loads. I saw two different listings for the 302...one @ 6800lbs, one @ 8900lbs, plus I'm guessing the Eagle tri-axle to be ~ 2000lbs. I'm afraid this would max out or surpass most 1/2 ton vehicles.
    Thanks

To pull safely and legally you need a minimum of a 3/4 truck.

Don't even think about towing your ride with a 1/2 ton. You'll be way overweight. Mine before I put elec/hydraulic brakes on it would push my HD2500 Duramax in a panic stop. I wouldn't even ponder pulling it with a 1500 series truck.

I never did weigh it, but I will when spring gets here just to find out.

+1 I'm running a 08, chipped, K&N intake, 5.3 1500 Avalanche with air ride and if my towing wasn't 99% flat land I'd need more truck.
Nightlife should chime in anytime and tell you I'm full of chit.

his boat is bigger than yours and he aint got the adders. I glad when I tow I am either way in front of him or behind him so when **** goes wrong im not close. He's likely to throw a tire at you though if you piss him off....... Oh wait he doesnt know where that tire went.
